The International Society for Education Through Art (InSEA)

I've been a member of InSEA for a number of years but in June 2020 I was elected to the European Regional Council to act as a representative for artist teachers in Europe for 3 years. Below are examples of initiatives I organised:

‘Post Pandemic Practice in Europe: re-learning, re-thinking & re-framing’ Implications for art teachers.’ 3rd Oct.

This was a live webinar I organised, chaired & presented in to celebrate innovations and foster interconnectedness as well as to help support a move into the next phase of response and recovery.

InSEA Czech conference 'Art Education in the time of Coronavirus' on 12th -15th Oct.

A live panel discussiorganised and chaired by me between the InSEA European Regional Council members and conference participants. We reflected upon the recent ERC webinar ‘Post Pandemic Practice in Europe: re-learning, re-thinking & re-framing’ Implications for art teachers’ and revisiting the emerging themes and issues. We were open to engaging the participants and we used the moment to come together to support art educators in dealing with change, and possibly offer approaches to challenge established ways of working, thinking and being in schools. See the video recording below:
