#isolationartviews magazine article published

The Net Gallery & Tom Buckley have just published a feature of my #isolationartviews in 'Photography Projects by artists Andy Ash and Paul Meyler Capture the UK in Lockdown'

in the TNG Magazine.

It shows 3 of the 60+ photographs taken during the first Covid lockdown and features:

1st: Day 5 - Mother and son maintaining contact. #motherandson #carehomes #cacti #socialdistancing

2nd: Day 37 - How do you date/flirt when in lockdown? #dating #flirtingskills #loveduringlockdown #relationships

3rd: Day 19 - key workers, working for us, thank you! #postman #postoffice #coucilworkers #streetcleaners #heros #redandgreen

You may remember at the time on Instagram I set myself a challenge to record photographically and collect my views from my flat of the new/changing situation. I wanted to use the chance to make art in a confined space. I set out to make a record of this moment in time, to try to be creative with very little and to observe the new virus world as it passes my flat window. Using my iPhone I photographed daily scenes (to look at and inspect) and to make a comment (a message or a statement) upon the developing situation. I responded to my observations and started to archive a number of emerging themes:

*social routines - walking, running, cycling, dog walking, and general interactions all while maintaining the social distancing guidance; *working routines - those who come and go from the block, dustman, delivery drivers/bikers, postal workers, care workers etc; *space and place - landscape, time, change, and the natural world;

I collated them all now and I'm presently seeking funding and or a publisher to release this photographic catalogue, so if anyone is feeling generous contact me?
