I'm pleased to announce that I have had an interview published in the NSEAD AD magazine. The interview was recently conducted by Michele Gregson (CEO & General Secretary of NSEAD) and I reflect on my journey and the evolving role of the artist teacher in today’s world.
In conversation with Michele I share how my career has been shaped by the intersections of practice, teaching, and social engagement. From my early experiences working in industry—creating alongside engineers and factory workers—I discovered the importance of dialogue and collaboration. These formative encounters instilled in me a deep commitment to education as a space for exchange, inquiry, and social activism.
I describe being an artist today as multifaceted: simultaneously an educator, collaborator, role model, activist, and researcher. My leadership at NSEAD reflects this vision, aiming to strengthen the links between making, learning, and community, while empowering the next generation of creative practitioners.
